Cambodia badminton athletes expect to do well at the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain

Phnom Penh: In the morning of October 25, Cambodia badminton players and coaches arrived in Bahrain to prepare to compete in the 3rd Asian Youth Games, which will officially begin on October 27, 2025.

Mr. Peik Sonnari Rithy, the badminton coach, confirmed that in the mission to compete for medals at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Cambodia Badminton Federation has sent a total of 4 players to compete in 3 events: men's singles, women's singles, and mixed doubles.


The coach stated that for the team's competition in the 3rd Asian Youth Games, he strongly hopes that they will do well, as before participating in the competition, the federation has been working hard to improve their skills and improve their techniques.

At the same time, Ms. Sok Sopheap, mother of badminton player Loueng Malinet, said that for her daughter's departure to participate in this major Asian event, she is both proud and also worried. Because this competition is a big competition with strong players. At the same time, as a mother, she can only encourage her child to work hard to compete for the country's image.


Please note that, in the 3rd Asian Youth Games in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Cambodia Badminton Federation sent 5 athletes, including 2 male players, Ratana Vireaksak, Ear William, female player Loueng Malinet, Mak Lita Choly, and coach Peik Sonnari Rithy. For badminton, the competition starts from October 27 to 29, 2025.
