The President of the Cambodia Boxing Federation announced that, the fund to help the army heroes and Refugees of the war, that federation has sold shirts and collected donations from people has raised 12 million riels.
H.E. Buy Sophoan, President of the Cambodia Boxing Federation, announced that the fund was raised by the federation from philanthropists, companies, and the sale of 200 shirts totaled 12 million riels. The president of the federation made the announcement in the evening of December 26, 2025 at the Royal University of Phnom Penh Sports Hall after the conclusion of the 2025 National Boxing Championship.
H.E. Buy Sophoan confirmed that, the total amount of 12 million riels is more than expected, while the federation expected to raise only 10 million riels. The funds, equipment, and food collected from all these donors, along with the Olympic Movement’s charitable donations which received by the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia from the International Olympic Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia, will be delivered to the army heroes and refugees of the war, in Oddar Meanchey Province through the provincial administration on December 27, 2025.
His Excellency the President of the Federation highlighted that, the support from citizens and donors with the Cambodia Boxing Federation Fund shows the solidarity between the rearguard troops to help the frontline troops and refugees of the war who are suffering from the Thai military invasion. This action not only shows patriotism, but also shows support for the promotion of the boxing sector. At the same time, His Excellency, as the President of the Cambodia Boxing Federation Fund, would like to express his deep gratitude for the donations from citizens as well as private companies and philanthropists who have joined the foundation to help the frontline troops and refugees of war who are fleeing from the Thai military invasion.
