On January 28, 2026, H.E Buy Sophoan, President of the Cambodia Boxing Federation, convened a quarterly meeting with the Federation Executive Committee at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia to strengthen implementation activities and ensure good governance for the 8th mandate of 2025-2029.
His Excellency said that, the meeting focused on four main agendas such as: 1- Reviewing the 2025 work activity report and raise the 2026 goals, 2- Dividing roles and duties of the Executive Committee, 3- Reviewing the current members of clubs-associations, and 4- Reviewing the federal governance evaluation mechanism in line with the in-depth reforms of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Olympic Movement.
On behalf of President of the Federation, His Excellency emphasized that, the Federation will organize many programs, especially urging to have the monthly competition activities under the sponsorship of Vattanac Company, namely the professional boxing championship to provide opportunities for athletes to measure their abilities as well as develop their abilities in preparation for international competitions. In addition, the federation also has an important vision in preparing a strategic plan as well as an implementation plan to achieve success in the 2036 Olympic Qualifiers.
