The Cambodia Boxing Federation and Vatthanac Company join hands to develop resources and move towards the goal of entering the Olympics

On Wednesday morning, February 25, 2026, at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, the Cambodia Boxing Federation and Vatthanac Company signed on a memorandum of understanding on a partnership to exclusively sponsor beverages for the Federation and the Cambodian National Boxing Team for a full year in 2026. 


This ceremony was attended by H.E. Buy Sophoan, President of the Cambodia Boxing Federation, Mr. Pich Sophen, Vice President of the Federation, Ms. Long Sineth, Head of Marketing, and Ms. Touch Leapphear, Marketing Manager representing Vatthanac Company.

H.E. Buy Sophoan emphasized that, For the partnership between the Cambodia Boxing Federation and Vatthanac Company will now be a new and important historical opportunity in providing opportunities for male and female boxing athletes in clubs to strengthen their abilities and increase their income, as well as contributing to develop the quality of the national boxing team in preparation for participating in the international competitions in 2026, as well as preparing for the 2027 SEA Games in Malaysia, especially towards competing to obtain the official “Qualified” right for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, USA, and preparing to win medals in the 2031 Asian Youth Games, which the Kingdom of Cambodia will host.

The Head of the Cambodia Boxing Federation said that, Cambodia boxing is the most potential sport since the Sangkom Reas Ni Yom Era, with four Cambodian national boxing team members receiving the right to participate in the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, which is the highest record for Cambodia boxing in the history of participating in the Olympic Games. In this regard, the Federation hopes that with the support of Vatthanac Company, the Federation will be able to develop the resources of male and female athletes to compete in the Olympic Games in the future. 


Ms. Long Sineth, Marketing Director of Vatthanac Company, said that this cooperation is a contribution to promoting local boxing, which is the potential sport in Cambodia. The same Marketing Director hopes that, other companies will join in promoting Cambodia boxing to achieve better results on the international stage.
