Ronaldo Confirms Retirement Plans

Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed that, the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be his last event and that he could retire in the next year or two.


In an interview in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Portugal national football team captain recently said: "Sure! I'll be 41 next year and I think it's a big event. To be honest, I could retire soon, meaning in a year or two."


Cristiano Ronaldo began his career as a footballer in 2002 at Sporting Lisbon and broke into the Portugal senior team in 2003. To date, the 40-year-old has scored 143 goals for his national team and over 1,000 goals as a professional footballer.


At club level, Al-Nassr captain has helped win numerous trophies at Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, and with his national team, he has lifted the cup of UEFA Euro 2016 and the UEFA Nations League in 2018/2019 and 2024-2025. But the owner of cup Ballon D'Or , five generations has not yet to taste lifting of the FIFA World Cup.
