Male and female athletes increased their effectiveness in this year’s National Cycling Championship

Male and female athletes participated in the competition of the 2025 National Cycling Championship have shown a significant increase in effectiveness after going through a three-day competition from February 6 to 8, 2026.


Due to confirmed by Mr. Nou Chamroeun, Secretary General of the Cambodia Cycling Federation, after the closing ceremony of the annual competition, which was held under the chairmanship of H.E. Pan Sorsak, Member of the National Assembly of Cambodia and President of the Federation, at the Morodok Techo National Stadium.


He said that although this year’s competition has changed from being organized in the provinces to being organized in Phnom Penh, namely the mountain bike competition at Phnom Baset and the downhill bike competition at the Morodok Techo National Stadium, but all athletes were happy to participate and appreciated the good organization with the race course that was not too easy and not too difficult.

This factor encouraged all athletes to participate and compete hard until they broke their old performance. Meanwhile, the Federation also looked for new young athletes with good abilities and talents to select and gather to train for further preparation for international competitions.


At the closing ceremony of the competition, H.E. Pan Sorsak praised the participation and competition under the spirit of sports, which encouraged this year's national championship to be successful. His Excellency hoped that, although sports are won and lost, after the end of competition, both winners and those who did not win medals will continue to train harder to improve their abilities to prepare for future competitions.


According to the report of the Organizing Commission for the 2025 National Championship, there were a total of 220 technical commission officials, delegates, coaches and athletes from 14 clubs participated. Through tough competition for victory in all 7 disciplines of the mountain bike and cyclocross competition, including: Men's Elite MTB mountain bike competition, 1st place: male athlete Saing Piseth, Ministry of Interior Club. Men's Junior MTB category, No. 1, Sat Ridevit, Kirirom Club, Women's MTB category, No. 1, female player Ken Malai, Empire Cycling Team, while the senior mountain bike category, No. 1, Pierre Yves Catry, Flying bikes club.

As for the road bike category, Men's 19 years and older Men Elite Road Criterium category, No. 1, Sok Bunhok, Sakky Cycling Team, Men's 18 years and younger Men Junior Road Criterium category, No. 1, Ngor Cheasrung, Rithi Sen Cycling Team, Kampong Chhnang, while the men's 40 years and older bicycle category, No. 1, Thun Phearum, Sakky Cycling Team. In addition to the first place and gold medal, there are also places 2 to 5 in the same 7 categories.
